Options and Pricing
The base price for a portrait photo session is $250, which includes the photography and post-processing. The post-processing is an important part of the overall process, and often takes much longer than the photo shoot itself. The proofs will be posted online for your review. In terms of receiving prints of the photographs, here are some of the options:
- Commercial brochures, posters, and displays. Let me put my graphic design skills to use for you, or let me provide your graphic artists with images to work with.
- Photographic prints. Traditional photographic prints on the highest quality archival photographic papers. These prints can be displayed and mounted in many different ways, including framing behind glass; "floating" mounting without glass or frame, with the photo protected by an invisible laminate layer; and several other alternatives to the standard frame and glass.
- Fine art canvas. This fine art treatment of your photographs gives them a classic look that echoes the work of the masters of portrait painting.
- Fine art papers. Your photographs can be printed on many different kinds of fine art papers, including cotton, rag paper, or cold press papers. Prints on these papers have a unique and classy look.
- Custom-designed leather-bound photo albums. These albums are an excellent way to showcase a series of photos, such as special occasions, or multiple photographs from an extended photographic session.
- Digital licencing. I retain the digital "negatives" and the copyright, but you can purchase digital usage rights to meet your needs.
Memories that Last
When treated and displayed with care, photographic prints can retain their quality for 100-200 years, providing you and your famiily with heirlooms of your legacy that can be passed from one generation to another. Remember that photographs of you aren't just for you. They're also for the people who love you, and those who come after you who will want to learn about their own legacy.
