Hello to everybody who is signed up for the course "Web Accessibility and Design."
The first class is on Monday, January 22. That's only a few days away. I'm looking forward to meeting you and working with you. By the time the course is over, you will have a good grasp of:
All of the course materials are online. There's no need to purchase anything.
Those of you in the classroom-based sections of the course will meet every Monday night in Commerce I, room 100, from 7:20pm to 10:00pm.
Those in the online sections will not need to come to any of the courses, but EVERYONE is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to come to the first class on Monday, January 22 if at all possible. This will give us the chance to meet each other face to face at least once. I'll present an overview of the course and give you the chance to ask questions.
If you don't have any previous web design experience, don't worry, we'll start at the beginning... but we'll move quickly. We'll be learning advanced techniques soon. Even experienced web developers will probably learn quite a bit.
Note: If you're not particularly technically inclined, I highly recommend that you enroll in one of the in-class sections. Online learning is great, and I try my best to be responsive by email, but sometimes there is no substitute for having the instructor close at hand. Choose wisely :-)
Note 2: Even people in the online class are ALWAYS welcome to come to the Monday night class in Commerce I. Many of my students have done this in the past. Sometimes they pick and choose days to come, based on the lesson for that week. Take advantage of this opportunity.
Again, I look forward to working with you!
